How is your support critical to our programs?

Since our beginning in the mid 1850's the existence of Dennison has relied on the kindness and generosity of those just like you. That support comes in a variety of ways from volunteer opportunites to financial donations.
While we appreciate any thoughts of donations of time and/or funding here are some important decisions for you.
Financial support can be in different forms and our history of receiving has shown this. Many donors simply make a tax-deductible donation that is directed towards our General Operating Expenses. This allows the Board of Directors to point these funds at the most critical needs at that particular time. Other donations come in as Restricted Donations that you may personally choose to direct your funds at a particular program. Some donations that have recently come into this category would be donations directed at:
  • the annual children's Christmas party
  • the Library (for books and furnishings)
  • the Computer Center (for both hardware and software)
  • late night programs for teens
  • children's field trips
  • building renovations/upkeep
    These are just some of the way donors have directed their giving. When any donation is restricted we absolutely dedicate those funds to that program you selected.

    Many other donations come in a variety of ways from dropping off sports equipment to inquiring about volunteer opportunites.
